- After teaching grades 8, 7, 6, 5, and then 3 for 13 years, I am now working to help teachers who want their students to be fluent in the basic math facts, something I am passionate about. I left the classroom because the long hours took time away from my family. Therefore, my online app, Math Facts Pro, is designed to give teachers more time by managing fluency practice for them that is efficient. Minimizing time spent on fluency practice frees up time for more complex math, and fluent students are better able to learn complex math. Education: Instructional Design and Technology, MS, Emporia State University; also a K-9 teaching certificate and an aviation degree with emphasis on aircraft maintenance and flight instruction.
